ZX Spectrum....Plastic Rayguns and shiny new MIDI.....

This clip features one of Maf's favorite machines from his childhood, the ZX Spectrum..I must mention, before we roll the clip, the marvelous use of the ZX spectrum by Maf's record label Plastic Raygun Records in 1998...lovely, see? Photobucket
Here's Maf to give us the juicy details about this legendary EP: "The Spectrum EP had a real ZX Spectrum game (specifically written for it) on the b-side. Instead of loading a game tape into your ZX spectrum, you could plug your record deck in and load the game directly from the vinyl. The game was a cross between Space Invaders and Phoenix with a piece of vinyl shooting down invading cd's. Maybe an updated version could be a cd shooting down mp3's?" Read more Plastic Raygun here....
Have a peek here at a circa-1985 "spanking new" ZX Spectrum....I wish we had these in America. via analoghell on YouTube.

Ha, I remember this episode specifically, this is what Leslie Judd did after Blue Peter. I remember thinking how ridiculous it was and that no one would every make music with a computer...glad to see i was right again.
