Sonic State's Sweet Series...20 Greatest Synths - The Out-takes!

If you're reading this blog, it's quite likely that you:

1) Are a synth dork and love anything that makes an interesting noise.

2) Are a synth dork and love Sonic State, Matrixsynth and Music Thing and I am somehow lucky enough to be on your daily yellow brick road of online gear porn pitstops.

3) Know of Sonic State's wonderful series, "20 Greatest Synths of All Time". This rad series features Will Gregory of Goldfrapp and Adrian Utley of Portishead to name a few. On my daily trek around SonicState.com, I found this lovely video featuring the "Extra Bits" from the series. It is chock full of some wonderful musings on the VCS3, MS20 and the Norma Desmond of all vintage gear, The Mellotron. Watch! Via sonicstate.com:

Wait a minute... I cant resist anything titled "Top 20 Weirdest Instruments"! Here's some more Sonic State love to go with your quadruple espresso (Pacific time) or your Wadworth 6X (GMT)! Here's episodes 1 & 2....

Wow, I'd be honoured!! A little Pro One goes a long way, but I have a crush on the ARP 2600...

(Hmm - the picture frame looks perfectly healthy to me....)
