A Deeper Delve into Portishead's Magnificent Biscuit Bakery....

More & More Portishead love is here! Sink your teeth into this beautiful clip from SonicState.com's Nick Batt...a fascinating deep sea dive into Adrian Utley's studio & the creative process that gave birth to their brilliant latest album, 'Third'.

I too share his love for the imperfect instruments! The 4 quid acoustic guitar, the 13 dollar Hammond Sounder...

What's your most beloved "priceless find" or "broken but beautiful" instrument? I refuse to tune my Farfisa right now - it's perfectly imperfect! 'Sounds just like my vinyl copy of "Piper At The Gates of Dawn".

ahhhh...the portishead post is just great...i would say my favorite "priceless find" is when i first started out playing with synths and i found an old ARp Solus in a vintage shop that the guy didnt know how to work so i paid $50 and didnt use it for a yea, then when i knew what i was doing, it is now my favorite peace of gear........or the sound thrasher 2.0 from a guy in NYC for $20, its just an oscillator with freq control and reso cutoff, but hooked up to pedals, it sounds great!
