Free Mp3 Monday, Week Two!

Here we are into week two of Free Mp3 Monday! Thanks to everyone who submitted! Our little fiesta went down very well last week, and we're excited to see a lovely crop of new offerings! Remember, keep sending them in, I'll keep my ears perking & posting.

Like last week, I've chosen 13 tracks to post here. Listen & have a gander at more gloriousness HERE at our Free Mp3 Monday Group on Soundcloud.com. Join us and send some music over! I also post links to mp3's, but joining the Soundcloud group to get us your mp3's makes it a bit easier for us to stay organized with everything.

Again, for the whole story on Free Mp3 Monday, check this post.

Join AnalogSuicide.com's Free Mp3 Monday group on Soundcloud.com and listen to more music here.

Shall we?

First off, I'd like to start the week with a beautiful, soul stirring song by by brother, Todd Busch of Buschovski. Here's his 2003 song, "Iceman". I adore it....

Next, here are a few sweet covers: the lovely London -based artist, Catherine A.D. with her cover of Friendly Fires' "Paris" and LaurieLaptop with Kraftwerk's "Neon Lights".

We all love a vocoder, see? Let's have a juicy visual break featuring Retrosound's Marko - we love his rad videos! Note the ingredients: 808, Taurus I and indeed, the VP330 Vocoder! I never knew the Taurus strings were so gorgeous, by the way. Wow.

Here's our friend, Chris Stack from Moog Music with some trippy-sweet "Ambient Mooginess":

Next, here's my friend & Pilfershire Lane comrade, keyboardist, synthesist & mad scientist extraordinaire Mike Walters with his band in NYC, Fan-Tan.

Find the music here.

One more visual break? Speaking of Mike Walters and "Mooginess", here's a clip from the making of Pilfershire Lane, Mike Walters having a charming dialogue with his mouthy Minimoog Model D:

Here's the last song now, let's end as we began...here's my cover of "Our House" by Madness (a demo mix where I got a bit happy w/ the compressor)...

See you in a bit! And remember, send us your downloadable Mp3's via the grey Soundcloud.com dropbox on the upper left for next week's Free Mp3 Monday

how funny! i submitted a piece yesterday and today see a piece by a "chris stack"! threw me for a second as i wondered if there had been some mix up. but no, apparently i have a doppleganger at moog. who woulda thunk there were two fans of analog suicide named chris stack? (for the record i'm "christopher" - so keep it straight!). :)

thankfully i dig chris' track. that's some synthy goodness right there.
